Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign and Education Literacy and Entrepreneurship Program: PDEA, PNP, APPEND
Strengthen enforcement in barangay and partnership community, the one day orientation seminar on “Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign and Education Literacy and Entrepreneurship Program” held on Feb. 23, 2017 at Grain Foundation for PWD Inc., Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City with more than 50 participants from different Barangays.
The Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign seminar was conducted by Philippines Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippines National Police (PNP). The PNP coordinated with the PDEA on all drug information. The event aimed to educate its people about the evil and pernicious effects of the dangerous drug and learn some ways of preventing the use of it. PDEA discussed the drug situation to give the participants an overview on the present and changing dynamics of the illegal drug problem in the country.
It is time for everyone to participate in this campaign to end illegal drugs trade. PDEA urged to participate to strengthen advocacy in fighting drug abuse. It would help to reach community through education.
Aside from teaching the communities about the war against illegal drugs, there was Education Literacy and Entrepreneurship Program conducted by APPEND. They introduced their different programs. This target for poor Filipino families because their goal is to encourage them to enter into small businesses. It also provide financial products and services to small entrepreneurs; scholarship program; training program. This helps the poor to obtain from poverty.
